Windows 11 connection to synology using WebDav fails

Dear Brad,
Thank you for reaching out. Regarding your issue with connecting to Synology WebDAV on your new Windows 11 computer, please try the following steps:

  1. Check WebDAV Settings: Ensure that the WebDAV server is enabled on your Synology NAS.
Go to Synology DSM > “Control Panel” > “WebDAV” and ensure the “Enable” option is checked.
  2. Network and Firewall Settings:
  • Verify that ports 5005 (HTTP) and 5006 (HTTPS) are open in your Windows Firewall or router settings.
  • Confirm that your network connection allows access to the Synology NAS.
  1. Check Synology IP Block List: Verify that the IP of the affected computer is not blocked in the Synology NAS IP block list. If it is, either whitelist the IP or remove it from the block list.
  2. Verify URL and Login Credentials: Ensure you are using the correct WebDAV URL and valid login credentials. Examples:
http://[IP or domain]:5005 (HTTP)
https://[IP or domain]:5006 (HTTPS)

If none of the above resolves the issue, please send us the NetDrive log files for further analysis.
To help us diagnose the issue:
