When saving AutoCAD files(.dwg) on the drive, they corrupt

When I save AutoCAD files on NetDrive3, the size of the file changes to very small and it’s corrupted. If I save the file on the desk top and then drag it on the drive, it works. This only happens with AutoCAD files, both, on my desktop computer and home laptop. All other employees don’t have this issue. I always make sure the computer and NetDrive is updated.

Hello pawel,

Thank you for your message.

Based on your description, this issue may be related to a recently fixed problem in NetDrive where
files were not properly truncated when overwritten, which could cause file corruption in applications
like AutoCAD that use complex save operations.

We have released an updated version that addresses this issue.
Please update NetDrive using the links below and test again by saving the AutoCAD file directly to the NetDrive drive.

:repeat_button: Test Request

  1. Update NetDrive to the version above
  2. Save an AutoCAD (.dwg) file directly to the NetDrive drive
  3. Check whether the file size and file integrity are correct

If the issue still occurs after updating,
please let us know and we will ask you to provide the NetDrive log file for further investigation.

Thank you for your cooperation,
and we look forward to your test results.

Best regards,

Hi there! I downloaded the update but the issue hasn’t gone away. We have one employee on Windows and he doesn’t have any issues. Other employees are on old iMacs and they also don’t have issues. One of the employees and I are on a newer iMac with M1 Max chip so I wonder if there’s an issue between the newer chips and NetDrive. Please let me know how to proceed. Thank you!

Thank you for the update.

While we do not have AutoCAD for Mac available for direct internal testing, we have recently released a new version that includes additional fixes related to file saving issues.

Please update to the version below and see if it resolves the corruption issue on your M1 Max iMac:

Please let us know if the problem persists after this update.
