Can webdav be used as the storage location for Windows file history? For me, file history does not find the local mapped webdav folder (Synology folder) and will not let me add webdav as a network drive. Is there a way to use netdrive for Windows file history backup when I am remote from my Synology? I’m currently running a trial netdrive to make sure it can help me before purchasing a license.

Yes You can use WebDav as a storage location for Windows file history.
If you are using Synology, you need to set the remote path when adding a Drive Item in NetDrive.
