We are using NetDrive 3 3.18.1125 (build 1125) - release 2025/02/09 on a Windows Server.
NetDrive 3, in conjunction with Trend Micro, is regularly causing a blue screen on the server.
The culprit appears to be WinFsp 2023.
How can we fix this problem?
Can we install the latest version of WinFsp?
Hello,
Thank you for your message.
In version 3.18.1125, we have found that in some environments,
a conflict between Trend Micro’s real-time protection and the WinFsp driver
may occasionally cause a Blue Screen (system crash) on Windows Server.
Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
Install the latest version
The latest version (3.18.1148) includes stability improvements for WinFsp.
Please download and install from one of the links below:
Test with Trend Micro temporarily disabled
If the issue persists, please temporarily disable Trend Micro’s real-time protection
and check whether the blue screen still occurs.
If the issue disappears after disabling Trend Micro,
it strongly indicates a conflict between its file monitoring driver and WinFsp.
Add NetDrive folders to Trend Micro’s exclusion list
To prevent further interference, please add the following folders to
Trend Micro’s exclusion (exception) list:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bdrive\NetDrive3\*
C:\ProgramData\NetDrive3\*
If the issue still occurs after these steps,
please let us know.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and
appreciate your cooperation in resolving this issue.
Best regards,
Bdrive NetDrive Support Team
