Issue with NetDrive3 Cache Filling C Drive During Nakivo Backups

Hi, I have an issue with NetDrive3 cache. I need to use it to save backups from Nakivo Backup and Replication to a mounted S3 bucket as a local drive. However, during the backup process, it saves all the cached data on the C drive, causing the backup to fail when the cache fills the drive completely. Is there an option to avoid saving the cache on the local drive and send data directly to the S3 bucket?

Dear it_user-01c8,

The issue you’re experiencing—where your C drive fills up during Nakivo backups—is caused by NetDrive3 saving cache files to the C drive by default.

To resolve this, we recommend changing the following settings:

  1. Change Cache Location
  • Set the cache folder to a drive with sufficient free space (e.g., D: drive instead of C:).
  1. Limit Cache Size
  • You can limit the maximum cache size to prevent it from using all available space.

These settings can be found in Settings > Cache in the NetDrive3 application.
