I have a machine that is running netdrive. it is working correctly but we are making some changes to the Synology side. I will need to reset the username and password used to authenticate. I am not able to from the App. under “storage type” the drive is listed, but the “connect” and “Options” buttons are greyed out. how do I Un-grey them?

The “connect” and “Options” buttons are greyed out because the drive item is currently mounted. Please click the “DISCONNECT” button first to unmount the drive. Then, you can go to Config → Connect to update the username and password.
