Hi,
I have exactly the same problem. During Installation Netdrive tries to restart my Windows Explorer and then I get the “Setup Wizard ended prematurely because of an error”.
Detlev
Nice to know it’s not just me, thank you. Perhaps Bdrive will come up with a solution.
David
Hi David,
for me I found a fix for the problem. Netdrive 3 does not install when the firewall is disabled (or not running?)!
I enabled the firewall, installed Netdrive 3 and disabled the firewall again.
Now Netdrive 3 is running on my Computer.
Detlev
Detlev,
That allows the install to complete, thank you very much. But when I run it there’s a new crash
I’ll find the run-time log and see what it’s doing now.
David
No sign of any logging happening, so no way to tell what’s crashed it. Brilliant!
Firewall state has zero effect on the installation (or failure to install) as I did successfully install it with zero problems on Windows 10. Now Server 2016 is a whole different story.
Looks as though the interaction with the firewall is Windows version-dependent, you’re on Windows 10, and I’m on Windows 7. Since someone else had the identical problems to me, and was also on Win 7 I think I’m assuming it’s version-dependent until more test results come in.
Feels like we’re all beta-testers ATM.
