This most recent upgrade was damn near perfect and it gets my kudos for sure.
Sensed that drives were connected and disconnected them.
Closed applications that would conflict
performed the upgrade
restarted netdrive & reconnected the drives
restart the applications that were closed
I could not have asked for an easier upgrade process on my media server. Well done!
