When I am on site for a particular client, I am receiving an error that must be caused by their firewall.
If I am using Sublime Editor 3 or Notepad++, I cannot save my files. It raises an error in the app and zeroes out the file size. The absolutely weird thing is that Microsoft Notepad works fine. I’d used it, but it sucks as an editor and can’t handle the unix eol. And BTW this works fine from home. So I could use a remote desktop app to get around it, but that’s a pain. Right now I am keeping a bunch of putty windows open Nano editing the each file.
What can I do to diagnose/resolve this issue?
BTW to get around a SSH2_MSG_UNIMPLEMENTED when I was connecting via Putty/Kitty/ssh I had to move “Diffie-Hellman group 14” up on the kex priority list.
Google for “SSH2_MSG_UNIMPLEMENTED packet error with PuTTY and RHEL 7.2” to see the process I followed.
What can I do server or client wise to resolve this issue?
